Lakecrest is a member of SEAL Canada, which is the preeminent organization of accredited independent schools in Canada dedicated to educational excellence, school improvement, and organizational leadership.

Physical Education

At Lakecrest each student receives at least two hours of Physical Education per week.  The emphasis is based on developing an active healthy lifestyle as well as meeting the essential curriculum outcomes.  In Physical Education, the students learn to develop; locomotor and non-locomotor skills, manipulative skills, cooperative skills, dance, gymnastics and sportsmanship.

Beginning at an early age the children are introduced to Sport Lead Up activities, which prepare them for games such as; soccer, basketball, volleyball, badminton, floor hockey, softball, etc. to be completed on a recreational level as well as competitively.

At Lakecrest we also participate in activities outside of the school.  For example during the fall and spring we organize hiking trips, outdoor soccer, softball, ultimate frisbee, to name a few and in the winter we partake in sliding, skiing and snowboarding.

During Physical Education, Lakecrest students acquire the skills necessary to maintain a healthy and active lifestyle while having fun and building on their ability to participate cooperatively.
